Football: Sport, not Career.

Football. A sport in my opinion, not a job. Over the last 24 months the UK economy took a drastic turn for the worse, resulting in thousands and thousands of people being made redundant, YET "the average Premiership footballer earns £676,000" and even more shockingly, strikers earn £806,000! Why are we wasting this money when our country is in turmoil??? People complain about the worsening services of the NHS yet thousands of pounds are wasted on middle-aged men who kick a ball around!

For the price of one premier footballer we could pay for 20 doctors. Now let's put this into perspective. Who is more useful in these circumstances:
1. You've had a heart attack?
2. You've broken a bone?
3. You've got a nasty burn?
4. You need surgery?
5. You need a hip replacement?
6. You need your appendix removing?
That's right A DOCTOR! Not a pointless, purposeless footballer! It is beyond outrageous that our money is being wasted on footballers! No one needs footballers! Therefore, SORT OUT OUR COUNTRY!

Words for thought.

August: A month of articles

Dear Readers,
When considering to write articles to add to the variety of my blog, I somehow became a victim of that ghastly thing called "Writers' Block". And trust me it isn't very pleasant! One's mind suddenly comes to an unexpected halt where any thoughts of intellect, brilliance or even obscurity seemed to have vanished. So I gave it a bit of thought and decided on several topics that I definitely do not want to write about, because let's face it they're not in the slightest bit riveting. Such as Global Warming! It is said that the Earth is getting drastically warmer yet it's always cold in England! I therefore hope that you carry on to explore my blog, with its pictures, photos, poems and now perhaps some interesting articles.

Cats' Eyes

Just A Little, Shiny Teapot

At the Station

Just waiting at the station,
No anticipation,
No excitement.
No gumption.
No spirit.
The train's not arriving on time.
Like life with delays,
And endless rainy days,
Is this a sign?

(Dear Readers, A picture will be on its way shortly)

Your Blue Eyes

One day I met this little friend of mine,
And since my life has never been the same.
With those eyes, I am hypnotised,
The magic I can't even begin to explain.

His blue eyes fill my heart,
He takes my breath away,
Perfection in a human form,
In every single way.

I love your blue eyes, blue eyes, blue eyes.

Under the Willow Tree

X

Oh how times changed,
From old to new,
We sat as kids,
One candle we blew.

Our youth around us,
No future days,
But now they're here,
And how we've changed.

Now sixteen sit,
Atop a cake,
Our future here,
And it won't wait.

The future's spread,
Out like a map.
Which path to try?
Which route to take?

But make it now,
Before it's late.
Be sure and true,
Follow your head,
And then your heart,
The right thing's there,
Just make that start.

A Dog Called Banjo

So Pure of Heart

Dear X,
I hope you don't mind that I put some of your work on my blog. They're just too good to go unnoticed.

Yes here's the key,
Unlock my heart,
So much to see,
Which place to start?

You get it wrong,
Why don't you see?
It's been so long,
You could set it free.

But now it's broke,
You locked my heart,
Don't try to stoke,
That dying spark.

Just leave right now,
And shut the door,
Nothing to do,
Not any more.

A Little Birdie

Such a little bird,
All alone in the world,
Not a care or worry in sight,
Just gliding through the air in flight.

By X

The leaves they fall,
Upon the stage,
Gone brown and wrinkled,
Showing their age.

But once they were,
Just a simple bud,
Full of new life,
Only knowing good.

Then in the sun,
They'd wave and dive,
And sat with fruit,
To watch it thrive.

Now they have gone,
And winter's here,
No more hope,
Until next year.

Starlit Waters

Beyond the horizon is hope,
Within our reach it lies,
Over the highest mountain tops,
And through the most treacherous tides.

The Monday Blues

I'm a victim of the Monday blues,
From my head,
All the way down to my shoes.

Why does it have to be Monday?
The dreaded day of the week,
Nothing good comes of Mondays,
Only things disappointing and bleak.

A Twinkle of an Eye

In a second, a moment,
A twinkle of an eye,
The Sun is shining,
And lighting up the sky,
For you and for me.

Green

Green,
Creates a wonderful scene,
With frogs, and tennis balls,
and evergreens in the fall.

Silly Things

I remember a simple time,
When we were young,
And the silly things we did,
Were just silly things done.

A Few Words and A Few More

I will love you,
No matter where in the world you are,
Though distance may come between us,
It'll never be too far.

I've never been so happy,
Until you came into my life,
I couldn't live without you,
Nothing would be right.

Where Dreams Have No End

Where dreams have no end,
Beyond the skies,
And reality is just a seven letter word,
Our limit is unlimited,
No matter the distance,
Achieving is nothing less than possible.

Fields of Green

As I wonder,
Through fields and fields of green,
With you in my heart,
Life is a dream.

Over mountain tops I travel,
As peaceful as a dove,
Steady as I go,
Searching for my long lost love.

I Want You To Know....

I want you to know,
How I feel deep down inside,
So here I go,
I love your strength and your pride.

You'll always face the foe,
No matter what the battle holds,
You'll always be by my side,
And keep my warm when I'm cold.

So I want you to know,
How I feel deep in my heart,
I will love you,
Till the end from the start.

Your determination inspires me,
Your bravery conquers all,
When I'm alone at night,
You're the one I can call.

So I want you to know,
How I truly feel about you,
If I'm in trouble,
You come to my rescue.

You'll do whatever it takes,
To make me laugh until I cry,
You watch out for me,
Like an angel in the sky.

So now that you know,
Everything you need to,
One last thing to say,
I love you.

Find The Light

Written for Harry,

Don't worry about it,
Everything's gonna be all right,
The Sun's coming up,
And it's so bright,
It'll shine on you,
In all that you do,
Until you find the light.

True Confessions

Tell me your true confessions little one,
Tell me your deepest thoughts of heart.
I want to know all that there is to know,
So we're not so far apart.

You're Perfect

You're there for every step I take,
For every love and heart break.
You're perfect to me.

You hold me close when I'm cold,
And remember every story I've ever told.
You're perfect for me.

I Love Stars and Space, and the Smile on Your Face.

We're gonna travel the skies,
and we'll see it all.
We'll find a black hole,
but baby we won't fall.

And we'll watch the stars,
While we travel through space,
They'll shine on you,
And your hand I'll embrace.

I won't let you go,
Because I want you to know.
I love you.

That's all I can say,
No less, no more
I can't live without you,
You're the one I adore.

Happiness Will Always Last

She smoothly glides,
Over the tranquil tides,
A gentle breeze in her mast,
Happiness will always last.

You're My Sweet Little Apple

You're my sweet little apple,
The one who holds my hand,
You're my sweet little apple,
The one who understands.

But you won't be here forever,
You'll and got away,
But I'll always love you,
Even after your dying day.

The Mask People

We are the Mask People,
Hiding from the World,
We feel so alone,
Different from every boy and girl.

We stay hidden among the shadows,
Not wanting to be seen,
To be entirely invisible,
Would be our ultimate dream.

But we're just ordinary people,
From the day of our birth,
Until the day we die,
Departing from this Earth.

We're just the Mask People,
No one understands,
How our hearts beat,
How our brain thinks,
Upon this Alien land.

So clap your hands and rejoice,
We are the Mask People,
And we can conquer all.

We will.

Don't be ashamed of who you are,
They're the Mask People.

Mirrors Are Enemies

Look into the mirror,
Tell me what you see.
Is it someone you are proud of?
Or is it someone else you wish to be?

The Sun's the Size of My Fist

Oh the sun's the size of my fist,
You're gonna see me fly,
I'm determined to succeed,
Aiming for the sky.

With my head and my heart,
And my friends from the start.
I'm going,
I'm driving,
Cos' the sun's the size of my fist!

Inspired by my muse Emily Rawlinson-James. You will one day be Dr. Watson and I will be Sherlock and we will solve mysteries.

The Girl with the 1960s Dream

I wanna live in the 1960s,
I wanna be a million miles away,
I wanna watch the first moon landing,
And even see The Beatles one day.

My Childhood Best Friend

Hold me in your arms,
Make it feel like a holiday,
I'll be by your side,
Every step of the way.

I'll never let you go,
I'll be with you until the end,
You're my love, my life,
My childhood best friend.

I will love you forever,
When you're here,
You make everything better.

You're the hand I wanna hold,
You're the smile I wanna see,
Now and forever,
Until eternity.

Amazing

Never have true words been spoken.

Our Life is a Vase

We are the body: the vase.
We support life.
We support those small and weak,
And care for them until they blossom.

Children are the flowers of life,
We must care and nurture them,
Until they in life, strife.

When we grow old,
We may wither and die,
But our seedlings go on,
Never forgetting us, as days go by.

Take Me to the Place where the Lovers Dance

Take me to the place where the lovers dance,
Two people as one: they stand.
With arms embraced,
A loving smile on their face.

Soul-mates some may say,
God playing his part,
But when it comes to love,
What really matters is,
What's in our hearts.

Cats

There comes a time,
When we all will be,
Alone,
In a home,
With cats: at least three.

We will look back on the past,
And the moments we miss,
We'll remember our dreams,
And our first kiss.

We'll rock back and forth in our chair,
Remember our friends,
Remember all the good times,
Wishing they'd never end.

I'll always remember you,
and I hope you remember me,
Forever in my heart,
That's where you'll always be.

A Hand for Harry

Dedicated to my friend, Harry.
Your dreams are always in your reach, grasp them and succeed.

Emily lives in the Fruit Bowl

Emily, my first follower, this one is especially for you.

Grapes are purple,
Apples are red,
But sometimes green,
Which confuses my head.
Oranges are orange,
But don't go with bread,
Blueberries are blue,
But don't eat them in the shed.
Raspberries are pink,
Unlike cheese spread,
Don't eat too many bananas,
Or you'll be in a hospital bed.

The Weeping Woman

Although tears down her face may stream,
She will go on.
No matter how much her heart aches,
She will stride on.

We must fight our battles,
And face the foe,
With our brothers and sisters,
We shall onwards go.

The Countryside is Ours

Through the countryside we go,
With our hands entwined,
I wish this would never end,
You're forever mine.

True Love

A sign of a filled and glowing heart,
Overwhelmed,
Overflowing,
Love.

The magic it brings to life,
Breathtaking.

The missing piece of a person.

The piece they spend their entire life looking for,
The piece that makes them whole.
True Love.

Springtime

Little lambs leaping about,
Blossom growing on the trees,
Daffodils sprouting from tiny bulbs,
Grass up to our knees.

The glowing sunshine very bright,
The old bells ringing,
The spring that warms our hearts,
The little birds singing.

Children playing in the meadows,
The bare trees swaying in the breeze,
Animals coming out of hibernation,
From under the old oak tree.

My first blog entry and first published poem of my life.
